About Us

Melbourne Newcomers & Friends founded in December 1996, is a voluntary organisation. Our goal is to help make your transition into your new environment a smooth and friendly experience, and to introduce you to the delights of Melbourne's lifestyle and culture.

Members also receive a monthly newsletter. Our membership consists of expatriates, repatriates and even interested locals. Whatever the background and interest, Melbourne Newcomers & Friends provide a platform for everyone to meet and help each other to adapt to life in Melbourne.

A good way to meet us is to come along to a monthly coffee morning, held in a member's home or an external venue.

Melbourne Newcomers & Friends is also affiliated with Open Door, a group of international Women's Associations who offer a friendly welcome and helping hand to members visiting or relocating to a town or city in another country.
